La consejera visitó a los usuarios que pasan sus vacaciones en el litoral y destacó el impulso del anteproyecto de Ley de Garantía de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad
El Gobierno regional financia este año con 2.328.240 euros la labor de la Asociación para el Tratamiento de Personas con Parálisis Cerebral y Patologías Afines (Astrapace), para la atención de unas 500 personas con discapacidad intelectual, de las que 315 son niños que asisten al Centro de Desarrollo Infantil y Atención Temprana.
La Consejería de Familia e Igualdad de Oportunidades ha ampliado en 17 plazas más las 134 plazas que ya tenía concertadas en el centro de día para personas con discapacidad intelectual de esta asociación.
La subvención de servicios a personas con discapacidad se lleva a cabo a través de los proyectos sociales de la X Solidaria del IRPF y del concierto de plazas por parte del Instituto Murciano de Acción Social IMAS.
La consejera de Familia e Igualdad de Oportunidades, Violante Tomás, junto con la presidenta de Astrapace, Rosa García, y el alcalde de Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, visitó hoy a las personas con discapacidad de esta asociación que pasan sus vacaciones en el litoral y precisó que «en la Región, a lo largo de esta legislatura, se han creado hasta el momento un total de 656 plazas de atención residencial, centro de día y promoción de la autonomía, de las que 341 corresponden a personas con discapacidad intelectual, 251 a personas con trastorno mental crónico y 64 a personas con discapacidad física».
En la actualidad se han alcanzado las 4.208 plazas en los centros de atención a personas con discapacidad y personas con trastorno mental crónico, de las que 587 pertenecen a centros propios de la Administración regional y 3.621 corresponden a centros concertados.
Inclusión de las personas con discapacidad
Violante Tomás también se refirió al anteproyecto de Ley de Garantía de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad de la Región de Murcia, que aprobó el Consejo de Gobierno el pasado día 18. El texto, consensuado con el Comité de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad de la Región de Murcia Cermi, garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades, la no discriminación y la inclusión de las personas con discapacidad; asegurar la transversalidad de las políticas de la Comunidad Autónoma que afectan a las personas con discapacidad; y proteger los derechos de las personas con discapacidad.
