PUERTO LUMBRERAS / Arrested after committing six robberies with force in homes

Agents of the Civil Guard detained a man, of 33 years and Moroccan nationality, resident in Pulpí (Almería) and with police records for six crimes of robbery with force in houses of Puerto Lumbreras.

The operation is still open to determine if the now arrested is behind the authorship of more criminal acts and if there could be more people related to the facts. This is the operation called ‘Blackmarket’ (black market), emerged to clarify a series of robberies committed in Puerto Lumbreras and a vehicle theft in Águilas.

The first inquiries were made in the houses that suffered the robberies, where they were carried out exhaustive technical-ocular inspections, as well as other managements, in order to discover the illicit way of acting and the people who could be after their authorship.

These actions allowed the investigators to verify that to commit the robberies the force was used against the doors or windows of the houses, through which access and cash was taken, pieces of jewelry and any object or small household appliance that could be transported easily and could market in the illicit market quickly.

The civil guards also verified that, before committing the robberies, a previous study of the routines of the residents of the houses was carried out to materialize the theft, making sure that they were not inside.

The analysis of the information obtained during the investigation made it possible to attribute to the arrested the presumed authorship of at least five crimes of robbery with force in houses of Puerto Lumbreras and a crime of vehicle theft committed in Águilas. The detainee and the proceedings ordered were made available to the Court of Instruction of Lorca.
