MURCIA REGION / Puerto Montiel Sports Port will host the Optimist Class TAP regatta

This weekend a total of approximately 80 boats, of the Optimist class, belonging to the Andalusian and Murcian community will meet in the waters of Aguilas in front of Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel.

The regatistas registered belong to the clubs of Club Náutico Adra, Real Club Regatas Cartagena, Club Náutico Los Nietos, Club Náutico Isla Menores, Regatta Club Mar Menor of Los Urrutias, Club Náutico Mar Menor of Los Alcázares, Real Club Regatas de Santiago de la Ribera and Club Nautico Villa de San Pedro.

There are programmed a total of 6 tests, where if the weather conditions allow it, there will be 3 tests in the day of Saturday and 3 in the day on Sunday.

The top of the Saturday, is scheduled for 12 noon after the registration of participants.

On Sunday, if there are no changes, it will be from 11:00 hours where the boats will fill the aquiline coast with sails.

This regatta is qualifying for the classification of the sailing federation team of the Murcia region, which will participate in the national Optimist class that will compete in the Spanish Championship in waters of Valencia, organized by RCN Valencia from 14 to 19 April and the Spanish Cup from May 15 to 19 in the Bay of Cádiz organized by the Puerto Sherry Yacht Club.

This class is one of the few that by number of participants have a clausus number.
