The storm left damages of various kinds, such as landslides, power cuts and the fall of several trees. Most of the warnings were for «collapse of objects and obstructed traffic», according to the Emergency Coordination Center 112.

The worst part was taken by Jumilla. There, the storm knocked down the south perimeter wall of the Antonio Ibáñez soccer field, with a total of 116 linear meters, which collapsed. The Town Planning Councilor, Francisco González, said that «the urgent procedures have been done to install a temporary fence, which will allow to continue using the facility before undertaking reconstruction.» And in the hamlet of La Estacada jumillana fell a tree about six meters high, just at the entrance of the Botanical Garden.

Branches also fell down in different areas, such as the San Agustín roundabout, the Municipal Velodrome and the Arsenal garden. The squares and gardens remain closed until the storm subsides, according to the City Council.

The Christmas decoration in Jumilla also suffered damages, since one of the luminous arcs was detached and had to be disassembled by firemen and personnel of the Department of Services. Likewise, some branches of the decorative tree of the door of the Vico Theater collapsed, although the strongest gusts occurred between midnight and 2.00.

San Javier was another of the municipalities that were affected yesterday by the wind. There, the Local Police had to seal two spaces with trees for security reasons. One of them was Avenida Aviación Española and another one in Santiago de la Ribera. Police sources confirmed that some trees and branches fell, but there was no need to complain about personal injuries.

In Abarán, the wind reached 80 kilometers per hour, which caused one of the billboards, located in a wall area next to the Las Colonias football field, to collapse. This fact originated, in turn, the demolition of about seven meters of the wall that delimits the perimeter of these municipal facilities. And in Cieza, the wind ripped a luminous sign from an establishment located in the Way of the Source.

In the first municipality, the storm caused the fall of a carrasco pine in the Guadalentín municipal sports complex, in addition to a strong inclination of the pine trunk located in front of Villa Piedad, at the beginning of the RM-515 highway. Also several branches of trees in different green zones of the municipality were divided, emphasizing the one of a robinia located in the parterre of the park of the Cubana, in front of the entrance of the Enrique Tierno Galván auditorium. Operators of the Parks and Gardens service removed the branches of the public road and cordoned off the affected trees.

In Molina, the fall of a pine tree was registered in the garden of San Ignacio Street, as well as tree branches in several points, with no need to complain about personal or material damages, according to local police and Civil Protection sources.
