The Federation of Triathlon of the Region of Murcia closes the season of 2018 with the dispute of the last date of the course held in Corvera.
The Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia crowned Fulgencio Angosto, of the Mandarache Athletics, and Irene Lucas, of the Archena Ibercombus Triathlon Club, as Regional Duathlon Cross Champions. With this competition that has been held coinciding with the Murcia-Corvera Cross Duathlon, the FTRM ends the 2018 season.
The event, organized by the Murcia Unidata Triathlon Club, had as champion of the same category, Fulgencio Angosto, in the men’s category, and María López, in the female category, who, not being federated in triathlon, did not opt for the regional championship.
Narrow spent a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 21 seconds to perform the 5 kilometers of the first sector of the race on foot, 20 kilometers of MTB and 2.5 kilometers of running. On the other hand, Lopez performed the test in 1 hour, 31 minutes and 22 seconds.
The men’s podium of the Cross Duathlon Regional Championship was formed by the triathlete of the Mandarache Athletics, Fulgencio Angosto, who prevailed in the competition after a tight end where he took only 8 seconds to the second classified, Álvaro Franco, from CT Tragamillas Ciclos Vicea Mercaluz , which invested a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 29 seconds. After him, Arturo Lucas, of Bitec Tri Impulso, reached the finish line, which occupied the third step with a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes and 32 seconds.
As for the women’s podium of the Regional Championship, triathlete of the Archena Ibercombus Triathlon Club, Irene Lucas Marín, was proclaimed as Champion in a race in which she used 1 hour, 37 minutes and 38 seconds.
After her, Lucía Palomares, from the Murcia Unidata Triathlon Club, arrived with a time of 1 hour, 38 minutes and 9 seconds to be crowned Regional Runner-up. The third step was occupied by another triathlete from CT Murcia, Gema Contreras, who finished the race in 1 hour, 39 minutes and 49 seconds.
