TORRE PACHECO/ The Blessed Virgin of the Rosary toured her town on the shoulders of her Knights.

PHOTOGRAPHIC REPORT AND VIDEOS OF THE PROCESSION

MORENTE

In the afternoon yesterday the Excelsa Patron of Torre Pacheco procession, one more year, through the street of his villa, which worships him in the Parochial Church. It has been doing so for sixty-five years, when the beautiful image that parades on the shoulders of its Portapasos Knights was created by the sculptor José Sánchez Lozano.

The Procession of the Patron Saint is the most awaited religious event for the pachequeros, who render fervent tribute of devotion in the street to who receives that same testimony of faith inside their Church. More and more are those who accompany La Virgen as part of their procession, or witness their passage along the route, especially in two very endearing moments: the departure and collection.

The photographic report that accompanies this text shows the high degree of popular participation, from the highest civil and religious authorities, to the simplest people of «on foot», going through a youth that is the dominant note in these two magnificent bands of music (pachequero pride) that are always present, and that contribute to all participants feel that chill that runs through the bodies when they sound the Salve, the arrow, … and the National Anthem.

Special mention deserves the effort made by the Portapasos Knights of Our Lady of the Rosary, with an aesthetic consistent with their devotion, putting their physical capacity to the test (set-up based on essays), so that the big day everything goes perfectly , as it was. There is something very big that motivates them, that moves them to make such an enormous effort: it is their responsibility to support the weight of the Patroness and her throne. Blessed effort.

The women in the procession are a separate chapter, without them it would not be possible to cover every last detail so that the staging is what the Virgin deserves. They never fail, they work, they participate and they parade proud of what they did and continue to do. They have reasons.

LONG LIVE THE VIRGIN OF THE ROSARY!
