Archena joins the events convened to mark the European Day of the Victims of Terrorism

Archena has also joined the minute of silence convened by the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, for today, March 11, the European Day of Victims of Terrorism, in a demonstration of mourning for the attack that occurred 15 years ago at the station of Atocha de Madrid and as a sign of rejection of the municipality of Archena to violence of any kind.

The event was chaired by the Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández López, and has been accompanied by Councilors of the Municipal Government Team and City Council workers and officials. After the rally, the assembled have ended with very emotional applause.

Minutes before, the first councilor has read a manifesto against the barbarity and terrorist injustice that ended that fateful day in Madrid with the lives of 193 people and has placed a bouquet of flowers in the Plaza de España, as a symbolic act, just in the place where a plaque was recently discovered for the same reason.
