The National Police finds 96 marijuana plants in an operation that has been settled with a detainee
Agents of the National Police have dismantled a marijuana plantation inside an industrial warehouse in Lorquí, where 96 marijuana plants and air conditioners, fans, transformers, ballasts and spotlights have been found. The operation has resulted in the arrest of an individual, aged 44, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health for drug trafficking.
The Narcotics Group of the National Police has detected that many organized groups, dedicated to the cultivation and sale of narcotics, use industrial warehouses, without commercial activity and usually located in industrial estates, to install large marijuana plantations. This is intended to mask the high charges of light that entails, as well as the constant noises of the installed air conditioners and the strong smells of the plantation. They take advantage of the fact that they are decentralized areas with a large movement of workers and customers, trying to avoid suspicion among neighboring ships and move away from police action.
A few weeks ago, the researchers received information about the possible existence of a marijuana plantation installed in a warehouse located in the Industrial Base 2000 of Lorquí. The company of private security that controls the enclosure detected a series of movements in this ship that, in principle, was closed for several months. Various inquiries by agents of the National Police allowed corroborating the existence of a narcotic drug plantation so, a few days ago, an entry and registration order was requested.
The investigation has been carried out by agents attached to the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police, belonging to the Superior Police Headquarters of the Region of Murcia.
