The number of serious crimes in the municipality of Torre Pacheco is reduced by 14%

Torre Pacheco held yesterday, September 26, ordinary session of the Local Security Board, co-chaired by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio Leon and the Delegate of the Government in the Region, Diego Conesa; which also included the participation of the general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies, José Ramón Carrasco, as well as the councilor for Public Safety, Juan Salvador Sánchez, the Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Guard, Chief of Operations, 2nd Head of the Murcia Area, Diego Mercader, and the Chief Captain of the 4th Company of the Civil Guard of Torre Pacheco, Manuel Gil, among other National Police, Civil Guard, Local Police and members of the Municipal Corporation.

The Mayor of Torre Pacheco highlighted the good results obtained, highlighting the decrease in the number of crimes in the municipality, the result of work and coordination between the different forces and security forces, assessing the work done by Civil Guard, National Police, and the Emergency Service of 112.

León, pointed out that already in the Technical Safety Board held on September 19, they were aware of the reduction of crimes, reiterating that they are the result of collaboration and common work of all bodies. Likewise, he informed of the importance of the next event that the City Council of Torre Pacheco has, such as the Patron Saint Festival, and for which a special device is already underway.

The Mayor, after assessing the good data, pointed out that from the City Council continue to demand more resources for the Barracks of the Civil Guard of the municipality, as well as the possibility of housing in the Citizen Security Center of the town, an Immigration Unit and Documentation of the National Police.

On the other hand, and in line with the Mayor, the Government Delegate pointed out that in the comparisons of the current year with 2017, serious crimes in the municipality of Torre Pacheco have been reduced by more than 14%. , there is also an increase in the number of people intercepted, highlighting that police collaboration has had its effects. In addition, he indicated that the Government of Spain is working to recover the lost troops in all the barracks in recent years, and said to take into account the request of the City Council of Torre Pacheco on the immigration and documentation documentation office.
