The non-profit association Artichoke of Spain thanks the work of journalists and communicators of the small screen of the likes of Arturo Valls, Susanna Griso and Roberto Leal with a symbolic and representative gift of their television work: an artichoke with a special cup of microphone. The gift refers to the name with which this device is usually known in the jargon of the profession due to the similarity in its form.

More than 50 well-known faces of the television of all Spain are going to be this Wednesday in their sets and newsrooms with a detail that, coinciding with the World Television Day, reinforces the message with which in 1996 the United Nations created this event: promote the global exchange of programs on peace, security, economic development and social and cultural issues.

The association joins this objective at the national level with a gift, an artichoke, whose name has been coined by journalists and communicators for years in a loving way one of their main tools of work, the microphone. «We also want to defend the freedom of expression of television professionals in our country to continue informing and entertaining us from the point of view of rigor, honesty and creativity,» says Antonio Galindo, president of Artichoke in Spain.

This offline action for World Television Day is linked to an online campaign until November 27, which includes the #AlcachofasdeTele contest, through which the association will encourage its followers to tell which program on the small screen You have seen this vegetable for the last time. The award is a gastronomic experience, a hotel night and a visit to artichoke fields together with expert producers to learn about how it is grown.

The requirements to participate in the raffle are to follow Artichoke of Spain on Facebook and / or Instagram and answer the question with the hashtag #AlcachofasdeRadio and quoting a friend or relative.
