MURCIA REGION / COAG women entrepreneurs analyze the role of women in the field

‘Rural women, building present and future’ is the title of the day organized by COAG Torre Pacheco that took place today Friday, October 19, in the Aquario celebrations hall, in order to show the vision of the agrarian and businesswomen livestock as a key figure for the future of the field.

The president of the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peñalver, has read a paper entitled ‘Empowerment of women as an axis of human development’ just after Francisco Gil, from COAG Murcia, presented his presentation frame under the title ‘Vision of women rural ‘where the figure of the woman as an agrarian entrepreneur has stood out and points to the future Rural Development Plan 2021-20127 as a strategically key plan for the future of women entrepreneurs in the field.

The farmer and beekeeper Elena Esteban has also participated in the day with a talk on the importance and benefits of beekeeping.

The closing of the day has had the assistance of the Minister of water, agriculture, livestock and fishing Miguel Angel del Amor.

This group, dependent on COAG in the Region of Murcia, and which chairs the Maria Dolores Diaz Region, has as main objectives to work for equal opportunities for women in the rural and agricultural areas of the region, detecting needs and defending their rights as women entrepreneurs, promoting the necessary resources to meet the identified needs.
