A representation of the Neighborhood Association of Culture, Sports and Leisure of La Manga recently held a working meeting with technicians of Transport, Coasts and Ports (CARM) at the head of which is its General Director, José Ramón Díez de Revenga.

In the course of the aforementioned meeting, the need to coordinate the public transport that La Manga communicates with the rest of the region (urban, interurban and regional) and with the International Airport was conveyed to him.

The need to extend and improve the current FERRY line was also raised so that it could shortly communicate the entire Mar Menor with each other as a sustainable mobility formula for tourists and residents.

In another order of things, the regional technicians reviewed with local representatives the current moment in which are the investment proposals contemplated within the Strategy of Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development (E.D.U.S.I.) LA MANGA 365 in its various sections.

Both parties agreed on the opportunity this investment represents for La Manga with almost twenty million euros in order to reach a prosperous future for the businessmen and residents who live there.

For the AVCDO any action in this area of ​​high summer tourist incidence goes through measures that achieve the deseasonalization and sustainability of the tourism package offered by the sector for La Manga del Mar Menor.

And the first step should be to strengthen the MARCA LA MANGA as «own and finalist brand» with professional work, with the local tourism sector and encompassed in a strategic action in the medium and long term.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Development, in the city of Murcia, both parties agreed on the maintenance of citizen participation to ensure maximum success in the program LA MANGA365 and the participation of the Neighborhood Association of Culture, Sports and Leisure in all forums that are convened in the future.
