CARTAGENA / Investigate the death of an Irishwoman whose body appeared floating in Isla Plana

The sighting was terrible: a body floating a few meters from the shore. A person who yesterday walked by the vicinity of a cove of Isla Plana, first thing in the morning, noticed the presence in the water of a woman without vital signs. A team of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard appeared on the beach, known as Muelle del Maestro Romero, together with a judicial commission that dealt with the removal of the body.

The husband of the deceased had to deal with the hard gulp of identifying his wife’s lifeless body. As he has learned ‘The Truth’, it is a woman, of Irish nationality, 57 years.

La Benemérita has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances in which this death occurred, but the first indications collected point to the fact that the woman’s body did not show signs of violence. In fact, along with the body, were found several bottles of cider and some of the belongings of this Irishwoman, like a purse, inside which could be anxiolytics.

Despite these evidences, an autopsy will be performed on the deceased to confirm that it is not a violent death. The first data of the investigation, to which this newspaper has had access, point out that the woman was spending a few days of vacations in this area of ​​the Cartagena coast, housed in the house of some friends.
