CARAVACA DE LA CRUZ / The new president of Calzia and representatives of the association of footwear entrepreneurs met with the mayor of Caravaca and the employment counselor

In his visit to the industrial estate of Cavila, the mayor of Caravaca and the employment counselor held a working meeting at the Multiservice Center with Juan Romero Caballero, the new president of Calzia, and businessmen of the Northwest Footwear Industries Association to analyze the necessary measures to continue promoting this sector.

The Minister of Employment said that the sales of the regional footwear and leather sector have increased and last year reached 215 million euros, consolidating its growth, thanks to its quality and international expansion, has risen 11% during the last decade.

Celdrán indicated that within the Fashion-Footwear Plan a series of international actions have been planned, such as participation in international fairs in Las Vegas and Moscow, as well as commercial missions to Australia and China, which are closing at this time.
