The detainee, of 26 years and with antecedents by mistreatment to his progenitor, was arrested in the house in which he kept his rest
A «Dantesque» scene, hard to contemplate. These are the words used by National Police agents after the arrest of a 26-year-old man who confessed to killing and dismembering his 66-year-old mother in «very small» pieces and eating some remains with which I would also have fed the dog.

The arrest took place on Thursday at the crime scene, the family home located at number 50 Francisco Navacerrada Street (Sales area, in the Madrid neighborhood of Salamanca). The man had 12 criminal records, mostly due to mistreatment of his mother.
The investigation began when a friend of the victim communicated in the office of complaints and attention to the citizen of the district of Salamanca that she had not seen the woman for a month. According to police sources, when the agents entered the home they found the body of the woman’s body and the arrested man, with a dog and several plastic containers in which he had inserted the remains of his mother’s body.
The detainee is the youngest of two brothers. The other, married, has lived out of the family home for some time and, according to the victim’s environment, he barely kept in touch with his family, although after some episodes of mistreatment, he had gone to see his mother. The father, cabinetmaker, died years ago.

The arrested, whom the neighbors describe as a man with a childish face, who looks younger than he has and who was always very distant, studied hospitality and had worked sporadically through an ETT, two years ago, for example, as a reinforcement for the San Isidro fair in a bar near his house. That establishment sometimes became a refuge for the woman, who appeared with bruises and said that you had been mistreated by her son. Neighbors also regret those episodes suffered by the now detained. Some of them commented this Friday, after knowing the crime, that when they saw police cars appear they thought it was a new episode of abuse. And remember that for weeks they had stopped seeing the victim, who often walked his dog and went out to run errands.
A case of cannibalism
The man opened the door to the agents when they called his house – a building with 12 houses – and told them where his mother was, whose body she had dismembered in «very small pieces». According to police sources, everything points to a case of «cannibalism».
With a «cold» attitude, the man confessed to the agents that he has «eaten» the deceased with his dog. The police proceeded to arrest him, while the Emergency Veterinary Service took charge of the animal.
The detainee is in the Tetouan Police Station, after refusing to testify at the Police Headquarters of Madrid, according to the same sources. Tonight will go to court.
This same month, another man was arrested in the Madrid town of Alcalá de Henares as the alleged perpetrator of the death of a 22-year-old girl, who was also butchered after being stabbed in the back. The body was found in a freezer chest.
