34 Bars, Restaurants, Confectioneries and Pubs of the locality offer a total of 27 tapas, 8 cocktails and 2 desserts
This Saturday, September 1, starts in Molina de Segura one of the most anticipated activities of their festivities, the Tapas, Cocktail and Dessert Route «Molina de Tapas», consolidating in this way as one of the main gastronomic inducements and of leisure of the Region of Murcia.
The initiative, organized by the Department of Commerce of the City of Molina de Segura and with the sponsorship of Estrella de Levante, has in this edition 34 participating venues spread over four zones, which will offer until September 23 a total of 27 tapas, 2 desserts and 8 cocktails at a price of 1.99 euros, 2 euros and 3 euros respectively.
The route was presented today, Thursday, August 30, in the Gastronomic Market «The Company of the Vega Plaza Shopping and Leisure Center, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Commerce, Concepción Orenes Hernández, Councilman of Tourism and Local Celebrations, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, the representatives of the participating premises, Cristóbal Martínez Martínez and José Ramón Gallego Jover, the Director of Communication and Public Relations of Estrella Levante, Yayo Delgado, and the Director of Vive Zone, José David Pérez Pérez.
«Molina de Tapas» seeks to promote regional cuisine and value the products of the land. A wide variety of creative and delicious tapas made with natural ingredients of first quality, for all tastes and palates, which are accompanied by the sweet touch that the confectioneries put on. In addition, the most spectacular cocktails will be available, as well as an interesting program of leisure activities. This section includes the «Tapas Sonoras», a musical proposal that will be held on Saturday, September 15 in different streets and squares of the town, with concerts and DJs sessions, at midday and afternoon. Likewise, the participating establishments have organized the «Tapea con Música» program that will be developed, with different times and places, on the weekends of the Molina de Segura Festivities.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, has highlighted the importance that this initiative has for the local hospitality sector and that it is consolidated as a «spearhead of the external image of Molina de Segura». Clavero thanked the involvement in «Molina de Tapas» of all the people and groups that make this route possible and highlighted the municipal commitment to the hotel industry and the molinense trade.
Participants of the Route can vote until September 28, through the form that appears in the classic route, for the «Best tapa», «Top innovative», «Best dessert» and «Best cocktail». In addition they will also be able to participate in the draw, on October 18, of different prizes valued as a whole in more than 3,000 euros.
Social networks will occupy an important place to enrich the experience of participation in the route. The contest on Instagram returns with the hashtag # molinadetapas11, with which the winner will receive as a prize their height in Estrella de Levante beer boxes. In addition, the Vive Zone mobile app offers a gourmet package among all those users who vote for their favorite tapas.
This year as a novelty, you will again enjoy «THE TRAIN OF THE ROUTE» in which presenting the road with at least one stamp, you can enjoy the route in «train».
Another novelty of this edition is the incorporation of the I AMBASSADOR of the route, which this year will be represented by the television Antonio Hidalgo and will be presented at the City of Molina de Segura on September 2 at 12.00.
